Total IgE
What does Total IgE measure?
The Total IgE test measures the overall level of immunoglobulin E (IgE), an antibody involved in allergic responses and immune function. It may be used to support the evaluation of allergic conditions, such as asthma, eczema, or allergic rhinitis, and may also be considered when certain parasitic infections or immune-related conditions are suspected. Total IgE levels are interpreted along with symptoms, medical history, and other test results.
