Urine -Protein
What does Urine -Protein measure?
This test measures the amount of protein in urine. Small amounts may be normal, but higher levels can occur when the kidneys are not filtering proteins as expected. It may be used to help evaluate kidney function, monitor known kidney conditions, or assess protein loss in people with diabetes, high blood pressure, swelling, or other relevant symptoms. Results are interpreted alongside medical history and other laboratory findings.
