Anti Nuclear Antibody
What does Anti Nuclear Antibody measure?
The Anti-Nuclear Antibody (ANA) test detects antibodies that may react with components inside the body’s cells. It may be used to help evaluate symptoms that could be associated with autoimmune conditions, such as unexplained joint pain, rashes, fatigue, or inflammation. ANA results are interpreted alongside medical history, symptoms, physical examination, and other laboratory tests, as a positive result can occur in several conditions or sometimes in healthy individuals.
