Chikungunya IgM
What does Chikungunya IgM measure?
The Chikungunya IgM test detects IgM antibodies that may develop after infection with the chikungunya virus. It may be ordered when a person has symptoms such as sudden fever, joint pain, headache, rash, or fatigue, especially in areas where chikungunya is known to occur. Results are interpreted along with symptoms, timing of illness, medical history, and other relevant tests.
