Hepatitis C Virus IgG
What does Hepatitis C Virus IgG measure?
This test detects IgG antibodies to the hepatitis C virus (HCV), which may develop after exposure to the virus. It may be used to help screen for past or current HCV infection, particularly in people with risk factors, abnormal liver tests, or symptoms that may be linked to liver disease. A positive antibody result does not by itself confirm active infection and may need follow-up testing.
