Rubellavirus IgM Antibody
What does Rubellavirus IgM Antibody measure?
This test detects immunoglobulin M (IgM) antibodies to rubellavirus, which may appear during a recent or current rubella infection. It may be used when rubella is suspected based on symptoms, exposure history, or public health evaluation. Healthcare professionals may also order it during pregnancy when recent rubella infection needs to be assessed. Results are interpreted along with symptoms, timing of exposure, vaccination history, and, when needed, other laboratory tests.
