Tissue Transglutaminase IgA Antibody
What does Tissue Transglutaminase IgA Antibody measure?
The Tissue Transglutaminase IgA Antibody test measures IgA antibodies against tissue transglutaminase, an enzyme associated with immune reactions to gluten. It may be used to help assess for coeliac disease in people with symptoms such as ongoing diarrhoea, abdominal discomfort, bloating, unexplained weight loss, anaemia, or poor nutrient absorption. Results are interpreted along with symptoms, diet, total IgA levels, and other clinical findings.
