What does FISH - PML/RARA IN APML - (Outlab) measure?
This FISH test looks for the PML/RARA gene rearrangement associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APML). It may be used when APML is suspected or to support evaluation of abnormal blood or bone marrow findings. The test detects changes in the genetic material of cells and can also be used in monitoring when clinically appropriate. Results are interpreted along with medical history, examination findings, and other laboratory tests.
