FISH FOR T(14;16) / IGH-MAF - (Outlab)
What does FISH FOR T(14;16) / IGH-MAF - (Outlab) measure?
This test uses fluorescence in situ hybridisation (FISH) to look for the t(14;16) genetic rearrangement involving the IGH and MAF genes. It may be used when evaluating plasma cell disorders, including multiple myeloma, as this rearrangement can provide information about the genetic features of abnormal cells. Results are interpreted alongside other laboratory findings and clinical information.
