What does Pleural fluid analysis with AFB and ADA - INLAB measure?
This test analyses pleural fluid, the fluid that can collect around the lungs. It includes testing for acid-fast bacilli (AFB), which may indicate the presence of certain mycobacterial organisms, and adenosine deaminase (ADA), an enzyme that may be elevated in some inflammatory conditions.
