IHC - AMACR - (Outlab)
What does IHC - AMACR - (Outlab) measure?
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) test evaluates AMACR, a protein marker that may be expressed in certain tissue cells. It may be used to support the examination of biopsy or surgical tissue samples, particularly when assessing prostate tissue and some other suspected tumours. AMACR staining is interpreted together with tissue appearance and other laboratory markers, as its presence or absence alone does not confirm a diagnosis.
