IHC - CD99(Mic - 2) - (Outlab)
What does IHC - CD99(Mic - 2) - (Outlab) measure?
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) test detects CD99, also called MIC-2, a protein marker that may be present on certain cells. It may be used to help evaluate tissue findings when investigating tumors, particularly Ewing sarcoma family tumors, as well as some lymphoid and other soft-tissue tumors. CD99 staining is interpreted together with microscopic appearance, other marker tests, and clinical information, as it is not specific to one condition.
