What does IHC - Glypican - 3 - (Outlab) measure?
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) test detects Glypican-3, a protein marker that may be expressed in certain tissue tumors. It may be used to help evaluate liver lesions, including suspected hepatocellular carcinoma, and to support distinction from some non-cancerous liver conditions or other tumors. Results are interpreted by a pathologist together with tissue appearance, medical history, imaging findings, and other laboratory tests.
