IHC - Lambda - (Outlab)

About test

What does IHC - Lambda - (Outlab) measure?

Immunohistochemistry (IHC) for lambda evaluates the presence and distribution of lambda light chains in tissue cells. Lambda light chains are proteins produced by certain immune cells, including plasma cells. This test may be used alongside other stains to help assess whether plasma cells show a balanced pattern of light-chain expression or a predominance of lambda expression. Results are interpreted with tissue findings, clinical history, and other laboratory tests.
