IHC - P40 - (Outlab)
What does IHC - P40 - (Outlab) measure?
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) test evaluates p40, a protein marker commonly expressed in cells showing squamous differentiation. It may be used to help classify tumour tissue and support distinction between squamous cell carcinoma and other tumour types, particularly in lung and certain head, neck, or genitourinary lesions. Results are interpreted by a pathologist alongside tissue appearance and other relevant laboratory markers.
