IHC - PAX8 - (Outlab)
What does IHC - PAX8 - (Outlab) measure?
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) test detects PAX8, a nuclear protein expressed in certain tissues, including thyroid, kidney, and Müllerian tract tissues. It may be used to help characterize tumour cells and support identification of the possible tissue of origin, particularly when evaluating cancers involving the thyroid, kidney, ovary, fallopian tube, endometrium, or related sites. Results are interpreted along with microscopy findings, other markers, and clinical information.
