IHC - Kappa - (Outlab)
What does IHC - Kappa - (Outlab) measure?
This immunohistochemistry (IHC) test detects kappa light chain expression in tissue cells. Kappa light chains are components of antibodies produced by plasma cells and B lymphocytes. The test may be used to assess whether these cells show a typical mixed pattern or predominance of one light chain, which can help in evaluating plasma cell or B-cell proliferations. Results are interpreted together with tissue appearance, other IHC markers, and clinical findings.
