What does BRCA 1/2 Somatic & Germline NGS - (Outlab) measure?
This test uses next-generation sequencing (NGS) to look for changes in the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes in tumour tissue (somatic) and/or inherited DNA (germline), as applicable. It may be used to help assess hereditary cancer risk, guide evaluation of certain cancers, or support treatment planning where BRCA-related findings are clinically relevant. Results are interpreted along with personal and family history, tumour findings, and other clinical information.
