HPV 16/18 QUALITATIVE REAL TIME PCR - (Outlab)
What does HPV 16/18 QUALITATIVE REAL TIME PCR - (Outlab) measure?
This qualitative real-time PCR test detects the presence of high-risk human papillomavirus (HPV) types 16 and 18. These HPV types are associated with an increased risk of cervical cell changes and certain other HPV-related cancers. It may be used as part of cervical cancer screening, to assess abnormal screening findings, or to support follow-up decisions. Results indicate whether HPV 16 or 18 genetic material is detected and should be interpreted alongside clinical findings.
