What does PML/RARA QUANITATIVE (BCR 1, 2 & 3) - (Outlab) measure?
This molecular test measures PML/RARA fusion gene transcripts, including BCR1, BCR2 and BCR3 variants. These genetic changes are commonly associated with acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL). It may be used to support diagnosis when APL is suspected, assess the level of detectable fusion transcripts at baseline, and monitor changes over time during or after treatment. Results are interpreted together with clinical findings and other laboratory tests.
