TB XDR SCREEN (LPA)
What does TB XDR SCREEN (LPA) measure?
This test uses a line probe assay (LPA) to detect genetic markers in Mycobacterium tuberculosis associated with resistance to key anti-tuberculosis medicines used for extensively drug-resistant TB screening. It may be used when drug-resistant tuberculosis is suspected or to support treatment planning after tuberculosis has been identified. Results are interpreted along with clinical findings and other tuberculosis test results.
