ALDOLASE
What does ALDOLASE measure?
The aldolase test measures the level of aldolase, an enzyme found mainly in skeletal muscles and also in other tissues. It may be used to help evaluate muscle injury or inflammation, including when muscle-related conditions are being considered or monitored. Aldolase levels can rise when muscle cells are damaged, but results are interpreted alongside symptoms, examination findings, and other laboratory tests.
