COMPLEMENT 3 (C3)
What does COMPLEMENT 3 (C3) measure?
The Complement 3 (C3) test measures the level of C3, a protein that is part of the body’s complement immune system. It may be used to help assess immune system activity and inflammation, and to support evaluation or monitoring of certain autoimmune, infectious, kidney, or complement-related conditions. C3 levels can change when the complement system is activated or affected. Results are interpreted along with symptoms, medical history, and other laboratory findings.
