CHOLINESTERASE
What does CHOLINESTERASE measure?
This test measures cholinesterase activity, an enzyme found in the blood. It may be used to help assess possible exposure to certain insecticides or chemicals that can reduce cholinesterase activity. It may also support evaluation of liver function or help identify unusually low enzyme activity that could affect response to some anaesthetic medicines. Results are interpreted together with medical history, symptoms, and other laboratory findings.
