LE CELL - INLAB
What does LE CELL - INLAB measure?
The LE cell test looks for lupus erythematosus (LE) cells, which are white blood cells that have engulfed altered nuclear material. It may be used as part of an evaluation for autoimmune conditions, including systemic lupus erythematosus, when considered alongside symptoms, examination findings, and other laboratory tests. LE cell findings are not specific to one condition and do not confirm a diagnosis on their own.
