FRUCTOSAMINE
What does FRUCTOSAMINE measure?
The fructosamine test measures glycated proteins in the blood, mainly albumin, and reflects average blood glucose levels over the previous 2 to 3 weeks. It may be used to help monitor short-term changes in glucose control, particularly when longer-term glucose markers may be less reliable or when treatment changes are being assessed. Results are interpreted along with medical history and other relevant laboratory findings.
