LDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT
What does LDL CHOLESTEROL - DIRECT measure?
This test measures the level of direct low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol in the blood. LDL cholesterol is often called “bad” cholesterol because higher levels may be associated with increased risk of cholesterol buildup in blood vessels. It may be used to assess cardiovascular risk, monitor lipid-lowering treatment, or evaluate cholesterol levels when calculated LDL results may be less reliable.
