LP-PLA2
What does LP-PLA2 measure?
The LP-PLA2 test measures lipoprotein-associated phospholipase A2, an enzyme linked to inflammation in blood vessel walls. It may be used along with other cardiovascular risk assessments to help evaluate the risk of plaque-related blood vessel disease. Results are interpreted with a person’s medical history, other laboratory findings, and cardiovascular risk factors.
