PLACENTAL GROWTH FACTOR
What does PLACENTAL GROWTH FACTOR measure?
This test measures placental growth factor (PlGF), a protein involved in blood vessel development in the placenta during pregnancy. It may be used with clinical assessment and other laboratory tests to help evaluate placental function and assess the likelihood of pregnancy-related hypertensive conditions, including pre-eclampsia. Results are interpreted in relation to gestational age, medical history, and other findings.
