RETICULOCYTE COUNT (%)
What does RETICULOCYTE COUNT (%) measure?
This test measures the percentage of reticulocytes, which are young red blood cells, in the blood. It may help assess how actively the bone marrow is producing red blood cells and support evaluation of certain types of anaemia, blood loss, or recovery after treatment affecting red blood cell production. Results are interpreted along with other blood tests and the person’s clinical condition.
