TISSUE TRANSGLUTAMINASE - IGA (TTG)
What does TISSUE TRANSGLUTAMINASE - IGA (TTG) measure?
This test measures IgA antibodies against tissue transglutaminase (tTG), an enzyme associated with the immune response seen in coeliac disease. It may be used to help evaluate people with symptoms or clinical findings that raise suspicion of coeliac disease, and to support monitoring when clinically appropriate. Results are interpreted alongside medical history, other antibody tests, and, when needed, further evaluation.
